Hi everyone! Today I would like to show you my Farrow Ribbon Hat and share a pattern for it.

Measurements

Head circumference: 57-58 cm

Hat height: 19 cm

Yarn and needles

Hooks & Needles, Starlight Sands Color, 130 yds / 50 g, 2 balls (work in 2 strands), 100% wool

Knitting needles: circular needles 3.5 mm (40 cm length) and 4 DPNs 3.5 mm

Pattern

1. Cast on 102 + 1 sts for the 57-58 cm head circumference (96 + 1 sts for the smaller size) and join to the round.

2. Work 9 rounds with (K1, P2) Ribbon

3. Work Farrow Rib stitch pattern

  • Rnd 1: (K2, P1)
  • Rnd 2: K1, (P1, K2) to the last 2 sts, P1, K1

Ready Hat

  • Repeat Rnds 1-2 until the height of the hat will 19 cm

4. Make the Crown

  • Rnd 1: (K1, P2tog) - 68 (64) sts
  • Rnd 2: (K1, P1) - 68 (64) sts
  • Rnd 3: (SSK) - 34 (32) sts
  • Rnd 4: K all the sts - 34 (32) sts
  • Rnd 5: (SSK) - 17 (16) sts
  • Rnd 6: K all the sts - 17 (16) sts
  • Rnd 7: (SSK) - 9 (8) sts

5. Break yarn and draw tail (with a darning needle) through rem sts. Pull tight to gather sts and fasten off on the wrong side.
